FIRST BASKERVILLE EDITION. Large 4to, pp. [2], 364; A very crisp and clean copy. Occasional light spotting to margins. Contemporary calf, rebacked preserving part of the flat gilt spine decorated with floral motifs; compartments divided by greek-key gilts, red morocco label with lettering to upper section of the spine. A little rubbed on covers and worn to corners, some signs of restoration. Marbled pastedowns, a.e.g. (faded). A early manuscript note on the first flyleaf, “Coghlan – Trinity College- Cambridge”.
