Scarce. The author of this very rare recipe book appears to have been a physician, mathematician and poet, fl. 1578–1593, who also published on medical practice. He opposed Paracelsus and his theories. Through USTC and WorldCat, we could only locate less than a dozen copies in Europe, the majority of which in German public libraries.
For a short biography of the author, see Allgemeines Gelehrten-Lexicon, 1750, Vol. 2, p. 1747. USTC 677143. VD16 H 5669. Not in Adams or BMC/STC German. Not in Brunet. Not in Simon, ‘Bibliotheca gastronomica’ or ‘Bibliotheca bacchica’, not in Krivatsky.
