Bookplate of Crewe Hall on top pastedown; bookplate of R.D. Steadman Bookseller on right bottom corner of top pastedown. Very slight staining. Marbled endpapers with gilt dentelles; marbled edges. Near contemporary calf with gilt decoration on cover; spine in seven compartments with six raised bands; gilt title and gilt date at foot of spine; slight wear on cover, spine and corners. Overall, a very fine and crisp copy.
