Large folio, [4], 1 pp., very long, folded in accordion manner. Illustrated chart of civilizations, with a key printed in red and black ink, in seven languages: English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, and Dutch. Maps, illustrations and charts in colour drawn by Professor Edward Hull (1829-1917), Irish geologist and stratigrapher. Includes a chronology since the Biblical Genesis according to the Archbishop Usher, a list of the seven wonders of the world, an advertisement for the sculptures from Nineveh in the British Museum, as well as illustrations of Greek, Phoenician and Egyptian deities, and detailed dynasties of the European powers. Damp staining to bottom edge and to upper corner of last two leaves, margins restored, small tears. Bound in original green patterned binding with gilt lettering, scuff marks around edges and corners worn.
