Mary Ann Burnet (d.1856) was a botanist who, in conjunction with her brother Gilbert Thomas Burnett (1800-1835), illustrated and authored a compendium of medicinal plants. Issued monthly, Plantae utiliores included a description of each plant and its uses, as well as a fully-coloured detailed rendering of its usable parts in a medicinal context.
