R. Abbey at the National Book League”, plus news paper cutting of The Times Literary Supplement, dated Friday April 11 1952, introducing this book under the heading “English Topographical Books”; 2) Part 2 (Copy No. 179), titled Life in England (published in 1953), with half title, title page in red and black within Greek fretwork border, pp. xxi, 427, with 50 illustrations in the text and 32 finely illustrated plates, including a coloured frontispiece, tissue-paper guards and insert of news paper cutting of The Times Literary Supplement, dated Friday June 19 1953, introducing this book under the heading “Major Abbey’s Collection”; 3) Part 3 (Copy No. 64), titled Travel (1956-7), in 2 vols: xiii, 299, with 21 collotype plates, including fine coloured frontispiece, and 23 illustrations in the text; xiv, 301-675, with 17 collotype plates, including fine coloured frontispiece, and 29 illustrations in the text.
