Set number 87 from 175 copies printed on Simili Japon paper, containing circa 6000 facsimile title pages and illustrations from rare editions of French authors issued between the 15th and 18th centuries. Each volume opening with its own title-page and half title; exlibris label to 2nd front flyleaf of first volume, from the library of William and Marianne Salloch, who were well-known American rare book dealers of the second half of C20th. Hardback red cloth with black labels with gilt lettering to every volume, spines lightly faded. A very clean, exceptionally fine uncut set.
